For The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s 2017 annual report, we followed last year’s 170th anniversary theme by focusing on their strategic plans for the future. Our writer collaborated with their director of marketing and communications to describe their blueprint for success, which was organized under the theme “Building on our Pillars of Excellence.” The design capitalized on the iconic columns in the hospital’s main lobby as a graphic link to their five “pillars” — the key initiatives they are committed to for the future. This resulted in a content-rich report, balanced with aspirations and accomplishments, and stories from leaders, hospital workers, patients, and donors. During this exciting time of redevelopment and expansion in their home of Downtown Brooklyn, TBHC is clearly communicating its commitment to evolve and serve the growing community.
